Hi my name is Juwan Rohan, I'm 22 years old and born in Anchorage, Alaska. Even though I was born in Alaska I still say i'm from Las Vegas, Nevada. I tell people that because I moved to Las Vegas when I was only 2-3 months old and have been here ever since. Since living here i've been back to Alaska one time in the summer of 2022 and had the best summer in my life. I say that because seeing the wildlife and nature was amazing because i'm so used to a dry desert. Theres definitely a difference on seeing a beautiful picture of a place compared to actually being on the land of the same place, I hope someday soon I can visit there to re-experience it all again.
Born in Anchorage, AL but been to Las Vegas, NV since 2-3 month old, I think you qualify as a LV native!

Hi Juwan, I've heard and seen such amazing things about Alaska online, I can only imagine how beautiful it is in person. I hope take a trip out there one day to visit. Living here in the desert my whole life has always made me feel like I've been missing out on how beautiful greener states can be.

ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to visit Alaska; the scenery and wildlife look amazing. Being a transplant to Las Vegas, I find myself missing the greenery of Iowa. Whenever I pass by a golf course, or park, I can feel the temperature change, and the grass, is much easier on the eyes, than the harsh desert landscape. Since you have been in Las Vegas since you were 3 months old, you are definitely a Las Vegas native.
Hello Juwan, I would love to hear the stories about what you had experienced in Alaska and what it was like, because I used to live in Colorado where wildlife was everywhere, but I picture it being much different there and would like to hear what you had experienced.

Ever since my cousin unfortunately passed, I've told my self that I would do the things that she always wanted to do but unfortunately never go the chance to. So it's exciting that you went to go, and I hope that I get the opportunity to go sometime in the near future!!

ReplyDeleteHello Juwan, I've never been to Alaska, but had a few buddies who were stationed there when we were in the army. They explained it was very cold, dark, and not much to do except drink and stay warm. It's nice to have a different positive description of Alaska.

ReplyDeleteHi Juwan, very cool story. I also was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and was very used to the rich nature over there until I moved here when I was 11. And i definitely agree there is a big difference between seeing something on a photo and actually experiencing it.

ReplyDeleteHi Juwan! I've always wanted to visit Alaska in hopes of seeing the Northern Lights! I had a friend stationed there and the animals are so free and in close proximity compared to other places. Its awesome that, that is your birthplace.
